I have had some Saitek sticks give me years of reliable service, and others constantly annoy me with noise, I have found them very comfortable, but the throttle detent does not fill me with excitement, I will probably toggle forward/reverse on the throttle anyway, and accuracy and tension both make me lean towards the TM (I would love to be buying a higher end TM.) but it's no good the stick being great if weeks-long RMAs have to happen or it is uncomfortable. In years gone by I would have gone for the warthog-heritage stick, especially given that Saitek was in the QA crapper for a long time, but I have noticed a lot of people mention RMAing the TM set-up and a outrageous claims from others that Saitek is better now than it used to be, so maybe that situation is even reversed? I'll fly spacecraft, planes and helicopters with it, and occasionally use it for computer games. this question is something I know I can respect some Elite CMDRs opinions on.įunds being what they are it will be relatively cheap, it will be new so I can RMA if I have to (but RMAing is a massive hassle where I live), and wanting a relatively decent HOTAS set-up for the money I think I have narrowed it down to: So I have to get a new joystick set-up, and I am absolutely stuck.
